How hard to install front struts

Post by MJH »

Like the topic says how hard is it to install front struts? I thought about installing new struts myself but don't want to get in to a mess.

It's simple. You'll be happy you did it instead of paying for it.

Simple. Took me a bit to find the good bookmark I had among the many bookmarks on multiple computers in my possession... LOL.

Here it is, once on the site below, scroll down about 3/4 of the way and you will find the tech showing how to replace the front struts (and springs). It's very easy to do at home and even easier if you are not replacing the springs. The tech has pics to visibly see how the job is done.

Enjoy and best of luck! You can save quite a bit of $$$$ doing the job yourself, considering most shops today charge anywhere from $75.00-$100.00+ per hour for labor rates, excluding sales tax and/or parts costs.
