So my late section on my tires are "136"
What does that mean for year?

Your tires were manufactured in 1996. If your tires had been made during the 13th week of 2006 the date code would have four digits that would read "1306"dbrennancobra wrote:So my late section on my tires are "136"

Yeah, my car is sitting on the tires it left the factory with and they still look great, no rotting or cracks. This isn't uncommon for a well cared for car, but the tires are still 20+ years old so I only trust them so much...no banzai runs testing that Z speed rating.dbrennancobra wrote:Ok thanks guys, I can't believe how nice they are.

I hear ya on that. My Teal was still wearing her original Gatorbacks until Brian (bdecoy) get her a sweet set of polished repros with a fresh set of NITTO's all around (during his ownership). Much safer to cruise around with. Gonna keep the original's of course.1986Browns wrote:Yeah, my car is sitting on the tires it left the factory with and they still look great, no rotting or cracks. Ha! We all know that speed rating was a tad optimistic on Ford's part. Since a 93 Cobra couldn't even reach 149, a V rated tire would have done the job.1986Browns wrote:...no banzai runs testing that Z speed rating.
