Can't get bolt on top of struts off

Looking 4 help getting the bolt that holds the struts off
The one that in the middle of the cast chamber.It spin n want break free I have replaced the back shocks need help on struts?

An impact gun will usually do the trick.

The nut n shaft turns when u use a impact gun r wrench

You need to remove it from the spindle on the lower section, and take the three nuts loose off the top of the strut mount.
Pretty much the same thing just on a newer model:

grab piston with vise grips, if you are replacing they. :nono: vise grips on new, unless very high up.

Is there a way to just take the bolt off with out removing the whole assembly

In order to change the whole strut you have to remove the whole thing.

Use a Powerful impact gun, like an Ingersoll-Rand, not a Craftsman or off brand chinese. Should come right off without spinning the shaft.

And make sure you have good air volume and at least 90 psi .

You could always try a NUT SPLITTER ... :-/ It could damage the threads on the Strut if your not careful.

When I changed mine out I had them off the car and put a little heat on them. Used a screw driver and a boxed end wrench. Worked fine but all I needed was the dust cover so I didn't care if I screwed them up or not. But it didn't harm anything
