Time for a new Radiator!

This is probably a stupid question, but when you do the flushing with the distilled water, do you do it with the old rad or new one? Also, do I need a rad ground?

I used the old one to do my flush. And the ground is not necessary, but like Mike said, it will help to prolong the life of the radiator.

well I read on this thread not to order a Fluidlyne from LMR but i took a gamble and ordered it anyway and recieved it with no defects, whew! Will install tomorrow!

Thanks man, I was very apprehensive about ordering from LMR after seeing what u went through but then I just said F it, lol, I just hoped for the best, hey did you 70/30 coolant /water?

No, I used PEAK 50/50 pre-diluted antifreeze + coolant straight. It is good for 150k miles (so it says) and all makes and models. -34* to 265* using a 15 lb pressure cap at sea level. Hope that's helpful.

50/50 is the way to go, Vin. For not much extra, most auto parts stores sell prediluted antifreeze already mixed with the proper amount of water.

i always use straight coolant, and if you do use 50 / 50 buy a gallon of straight and mix your own , the price of 50/50 is too high considering half is water.
