I would go w/2.5. IMO they make a nice appearance being slightly larger than stock w/o looking too large. Not sure about the rest of your exhaust, but the tips alone (2.5 or 3 or whatever size) don't make much difference in sound. The mufflers and whether you still have cats or off-road pipe make a much bigger sound difference.

Z is right tips won't change sound. The perfect setup IMO is 3 " all the way back then 2.5 tips welded on from back of mufflers.

3" might as well go to your local autozone and get the 4.5" cannister honda muffler. kidding. Keep it 2" or 2.5". any larger looks like a aftermarket modded GT.

Agreed. Bolt on cars don't really need anything larger.

I noticed a slight drop off in low-end torque when I installed my FRPP shorties/off road H/Flowmaster cat-back combo...but the car breathes so much better on the top end now in the absence of converters and with the addition of the larger, more free flowing pipes. And the sound the 40 series make...

X2! After all these years, that sound still makes me smile when blasting down the road above 4000 rpm. :headbang:

Sounds damn good at idle as well. 8)
