Door striker bushings

Post by noac »

I bought these door striker bushings tonight at Advance Auto. With my Military Discount they were slightly less than $4. I got home, removed the door strikers with cracked bushings, replaced the plastic bushing and reinstalled. Not only do they serve there purpose and fit like OEM, they also look exactly like the originals (gray). I have seen some replacements that are a bright white in color. Here is a link I found when I googled the part number....

I used the gray bushings sold by American Muscle when I did this repair. Also good "OEM-like" parts.

Yep Tom, easiest and cheapest small fix on these cars. Usually one of the first things I change out. These and the small white Teflon gears for the electric door motors that you can get there as well. These gears used to go all the time in my convertible rear windows. Thanks for the reminder!
