Idling problem

Post by SVT#3140 »

I had a ''so-call '' mech..change all that list's below .my car went to him running perfect . now after changing the parts that's list below my car idleing crazy and revving up and down push the gas rpm stay for a few seconds then comes down ..now he can't sort the problem out .

NEW .....battery ,130 amp alternator with new upgraded power wire , cold air intake finder wall , mass air meter for 24 Lb injector, idle air control, air charge temp sensor, coolant temp sensor, oil pressure sending unit , EGR valve, change a few vacuum lines and throttle position sensor . set @ 0.98 volts & wide-open throttle is 4.67 volts...

any input or suggestions will help .

-What MAF was installed? I hope not a C&L............those things are junk.
-Check for any vacuum leaks, a lot of what was touched has a line running to it
-Verify the IAC

I would take it back to him, he should make it right for you.

If car was running fine, why did you change all that? I would start with putting stock mass air back on.

Far as changing all them parts .....i figured that i will start to change out some sensor and do some upgrading .... not thinking that putting on new part's would end up like this . maybe it's not the new parts .just the mech .
