99 Cobra info

Anyone know the scoop on what happened with the 99 Cobra's and the HP rating?

320 hp 320lb ft, heard bad things about the 99, I know they went with a different intake for 2000

Yea I coulda sworn there was a recall......is an independent rear suspension any good?

They tried many fixes on the 99, swapped exhaust out, swapped intake out. I don't think it was ever really fixed the power issues. That is why they didn't build a 2000 Cobra, Just the R. the 01 was not much better, so they went back to the drawing board. In mid 02 they released the 03 Cobra.

12k sounds high for a 99 ., the 94 - 01 seem pretty cheap to me , there is a 96 mystic cobra near me for 2500!

Just drove it this evening handles well, not a slug by any means he put a magnaflow catback on it gave it a nice rumble older gent owns it all documentation too

Always liked the looks of the 99's, but not worth throwing money at the OEM drivetrain to make it faster. Yank it and start from scratch.

Yea I like the front Bumper/svt cobra logo on the rear deck. Wish they put cobra on the back bumper insert instead of mustang.
