Actually, Rs came with emissions-only warranties. They are also covered by Ford for any safety-related recalls that came out after their production. The 2000 R has had two recalls - one for a parking brake issue and one for a rear suspension issue.

Should this one be sold and registered for the first time, the buyer would get the factory emissions warranty and would be smart to check to see if the car had gotten the 2 recalls performed (doubtful as it has likely been in storage).
