I know most people hate these cars but I like this one in particular nice stance, anyone else like it?

The Mustangs from 74 thru 78 are a sad chapter in Ford's history. A Mustang II with tacky body add-ons, decals and a 140hp(!!) V8 should never have been called a Cobra.

At least the one in the pic is BLACK.

Yuk and nice at the same time.

Agree John, the stance does make the car look better and also the black paint.

I've always liked Cobra IIs, the main problem that I have with the Mustang II in general is the forward placement of the engine relative to the front axle center line. It's too far forward, which leads to wonky handling and tire scrub. Set the firewall back to move the engine rearward, and you lose leg room. No easy way to make the car work with big power.

What do you expect from a design based on the Pinto? In addition, big power was never an issue with these models. :yuck:

Ya, bad years for the Stang for sure.

Still, one of the best burnouts I ever witnessed was by a guy in HS at a party. He yanked the motor and did some work too it and ran pretty decent for the time.

More. The Pinto was a solid little car with a tough, compact suspension design that is still #1 in the hot rod/street rod world by a large margin. Pintos themselves are the cars to beat at dirt tracks all over the country in the entry-level pony stock division. It would have been nice if they pulled the front axle forward 3" on the M-II and used a Fox style oil pan. That would have taken care of the main problem with these cars, plus the styling would have benefited from the reduced front overhang.
In addition, big power was never an issue with these models. :yuck:
In stock form. I'm talking about what most enthusiasts do to Mustangs, hot rod them.

With the exception of the Pinto being a flaming deathtrap, it was a decent little car. :burn:
