Far from rare, several with low mileage. Always seems to be one for sale.

No such thing as any "94 1/2" Mustang... LMAO

As far as the 94 Pace Cobras, there was nothing overly special about them when compared to the 94 Cobra coupes.

The only differences were:
1) The rims used were the "future" 1996 17" Cobra rims (charcoal painted openings)
2) The Pace Cars were to come with a SVT plaque identifier w/ build #, mounted in front of the shifter. Some Pace Cobras had this mounted, some were not mounted but included with the papers when the original Buyer bought the car or some never had them.
3) Indy decal set - Pace Cobra could have been bought with them mounted or decals boxed in trunk.
4) Metal Indy emblem on trunk lid

Other than the above, the entire drivetrain and interior features were exactly the same as the Cobra coupes.

Other 94 Pace Cobra Facts :

1) All were convertibles, Rio Red exterior, Saddle leather interiors and had matching Saddle colored convertible top.

2) Only 1,000 were made, but they were part of the total 6,009 1994 Cobra production. They were not numbered "1-1,000" - their SVT build number was dished out on the same line as the Cobra coupes, so depending on VIN and actual Build Date, you could end up with a low or high SVT number, regardless of Pace or coupe.

3) All 94 Pace Car VIN's will start with: 1FALP45D (Note: all 94 Cobra coupes will be 42D)

4) So far, the first (3) digits of a 1994 Cobra Pace Car VIN consecutive unit number has been confirmed to be: 158xxx, 160xxx, 161xxx, 177xxx and 188xxx.

5) The lowest surviving 94 Cobra Pace SVT build number to date is #0008, while the highest known survivor is #0999.

--

The guy is crazy to think that anyone would pay $60k for his 94 Cobra Pace. Sure it may have low miles and other positives going for it, but, from a true collectible standpoint, a Collector will be seeking a low SVT production number plus other attributes. The 94 Pace Cobra average value has been bouncing at $12k-$15k, with very few at the $20k+ mark. To be honest, for $20k and a real 94-95 Mustang Collector looking to "invest" (if you want to call it that), they can easily spend that same $20k on a 1995 Cobra R. That would be a worthwhile buy over any 1994 Cobra Pace, regardless of miles or SVT number.

--

Guess I better list mine for $65k since to date, mine is the lowest surviving Cobra coupe..... LOL!!!! :pat:
