I would but mine has minor rock chips on the front. Plus I don't think I could get rid of the stock hood!

Mine isn't perfect either (just some spots on the paint) but you are along ways from me. I'm in Northern California. Would love to have a cowl or RR hood though.

Hood

Post by ccognetta »

Yeah, I want would a low mile hood, from an Original Teal Cobra, in original paint. Having to paint it, I can just use a standard hood then, which defeats the purpose.

Its still cheaper for anyone in the US to ship for $125 each person then to buy a new cowl hood and then paint!

Sorry you guys didn't have it, but thanks for the reply!

Boy, it's going to be near impossible to find a low mile car that the owner wants to give up his hood. Even then, you may still have to paint the hood as it may not match your stock paint exactly.

Good luck, but I wouldn't hold my breath...

Also, I will consider a teal cobra hood that might have some normal paint chips, but no scrapes or dents. I just want it to be a) original cobra teal and b) in good shape. I will most likely have to paint it.. Good point Frank

I may consider to buy it outright also. Give me an idea what you want for it shipped. Thanks..

Oh, question... Does this hood have more room under it than a regular stock hood? If so, how much? As much as a 2.5" cowl hood does??? I need a hood with extra room under is for the blower.

I would also take some factory Cobra parts (mainly engine components) in exchange/credit towards the purchase of the hood as well. Thanks CC
