23rd YELLOW ROSE ALL FORD SHOW- FORT WORTH TX

Post by k98dave »

The Yellow Rose all Ford show is in Fort worth this weekend. I have my Cobra entered.

For the Mustangs... plenty of 60's 70's and then SN95's and up thru 2013's but only 3 Fox bodies, mine and two Saleen's. We have been asking for a "Fox Budy" class for a couple of years now but never have enough show up to get it. This year is the lowest.
I'll post Sunday on results.

Got hosed...I was the only Cobra open entry. There were two Fox Saleens that were entered along with 5 other new edge Saleens as a "Club Entry" After the judging was over I was told that they put me into that group. Since the Saleen club entered 8 cars (i.e. they spend big$$ entry fees) they won all the awards in that catagory.

I'm not a trophy hunter like some on here but that really pissed me off The Saleen fox cars were all modified and well used and really didn't show very well. I was told these same cars won last year and several from the year before that. (club politics so I'm told)

This is the only organized formal show I attend, think I'll stick to the little informal parking lot shows that start again when it cools off.

Thats what happing with this show.(Yellow rose) It has turned into a mutual admiration club with the same cars & group entries every year As a result others like myself can't see the point in spending 3 days and $50.00 entry fees to see the same cars win every year.
