Shelbyfest 2015

Post by Goose17 »

Anyone going to Shelbyfest this year? It's for all Mustangs and I've seen 93's in years past. The wife and I will be driving up from TX in the GT500. Here's the info:

Never been, how many cars usually show?
We always try to make it to the mid-America ford meet in Tulsa which usually has a big Shelby turnout but I believe it's in June.

I've gone the last 2 years and had a great time. There are a BUNCH of Mustangs there. This is the first year it's in the big city of Jefferson City. Previous years were in Hermann.

I saw 2 93 Cobras there last year.

You guys think there would be a place to off-load my '93 from the trailer? Was thinking of just having it in the show for display.

Yes. There are several who trailer their cars there. I'm not sure of trailer parking at the event hotel though and a couple friends that have trailers are staying at another nearby hotel that has trailer parking space.

That's cool. We would simply being going down for the day so would just need a place to put trailer. Oh, and with the clutchless 5-speed hope don't have to drive her very far! LOL

Best pass of last season was a 9.43 @ 142.6. In-car video. My exhaust KILLED the mic, so sorry about that. I have a new external mic for this season ready to go. Hoping with the new re-worked clutch I can get her into the 9.30s this year.

Several years ago through a tko600 and 4.86 gears on a 26" slick it made 585 at 8300 to the tires.

Based on mph and weight right at 700 hp at the crank. Currently running a 5.14 gear in the 9"

I might head up there in my '97 Coyote Cobra. I'm planning on doing a track event at Hallett the weekend before, so I'll have to clean up the car.
I'll definitely be at the Shelby Mid-America event. '97 Cobra is a definite, not sure if the '93 will get fixed up in time to make an appearance.
