Interesting....BTW this guy e mailed me complaining I misrepresented the car
which is BS since I only asked about what history & SVT documents he had

He obviously is lurking on here. :P
Did he complain to you guys too NV93Cobra & Citiboy?

He said everybody that contacted him got the whole story. Well everybody except me that is....I bet!

His email address doesn't seem to work anymore last time I tried to correct him on his story.

Some one will get a nice restored to like new Cobra regardless if he gives the whole story or not

he's full of crap. that's why he pulled his ads down. he doesn't want the info I put out there to be associated with the car. he's hoping for a sale off of CL now where maybe the buyer won't have all the info about the repairs/damage. like I said to RollTide, I personally don't think the car is worth $15k considering the damage/repairs plus the fact that Carfax shows the car having 220k miles, not 120k. I would hate for some buyer to spend that kind of money on the car only to find out later he got burned on the history and the miles. this guy selling the car now was told of the history and was able to make an informed decision to still purchase the car. doesn't seem like the seller is willing to offer that same even playing field to the next purchaser and that sucks.

Agreed! Even if the car fax milage is incorrect which a lot of people say is a problem with these reports the fact that he was playing games about what he knew is the problem. Guess he plays by the old "Buyer Beware" game!

I to think the mileage was a SNAFOO on Car Fax, happens all the time, They Jacked up my 2007 GT 500 said it had 45K on it, when it was 4500, Roltide told me the original owner had two 93's so it is possible they used wrong vin# for inspection, I have seen that happen a few times. I sent him a copy of the car fax before he bought it, When I bought it, I was more concerned with the accident not being on it. As for Mileage, I was told it was 119K because that is what the original owner Told Roltide, So I didnt really care. I dont think he is trying to scam anyone on the mileage, and I do not think it had 220K seats, carpet, and interior are WAY to nice to be that high. Motor is very strong, and trans shifts like a dream. Here is some pics before accident

Yeah I saw it before and it was super clean. That's why I wanted to buy it pre crash but Brian wasn't selling yet... I agree 120k seems more realistic.

The guy I bought it from got it from a guy who had this car and an R and a 89 Saleen which he raced, I was told the back seat had never been sat in when I bought it and it looked like it, like Aaron said the interior was very clean, of course I can't be certain but unless this car went through a full restoration about 8-10 years ago I can't see it having 220k on it

I don't know the car as I've never seen it but the Carfax mileage seems pretty consistent. I'm not seeing any unbelievable jumps in the mileage which would indicate an error. When you go down the years and the mileage associated with those time spans, it seems believable to me.

I think it is consistent on 7/22/02 at 103k since before that it was at 3k which means to means the DMV didn't know it wasn't a 6 digit speedo and put it at 3k, after that I don't think u can add up every mile because I don't think someone would put it back to 0's, there is no way of telling exactly what it is because I don't think the car had only 17k put on it in 10 years but I don't think it's 220k, the car was way to clean for that unless like I said it had a total rebuild and interior was completely replaced, it really doesn't matter, the new owner will hopefully get all the info and make his own judgement on the car, it's not salvaged and the car is truly a good one, so if the mileage dicrepancy is the only knock on the car then so be it, along with jstanley and Aaron stiles I believe this car is a very clean and strong running red/grey cloth car.

I'm not saying I think the mileage was rolled back in any way. From what I read from the Carfax, it does appear to have rolled over a couple times. Regardless, the mileage wasn't the issue. Even at 120k miles the car is over priced at $14500. The thing I had issue with was the fact that the new seller wasn't being honest about the cars "history" seeing as he was made aware of it prior to his purchase. Pretty convenient that the only person he didn't reveal the true history to just happens to be a member of the forum. Everyone else he was "honest" with though. Just slipped his mind when replying to k98dave.
