Geeze you guys are something..... :lol:
Oxidation on alum and surface rust on raw iron like the h pipe is from exposure to the moisture in the air. Unless a car is vaccum sealed they will all get this even with O miles so lighten up!

Don't lump me in Dave I couldn't agree with you more, I get aaron's point but I would be happy with this car

Actually I need to correct. Alum oxidation is a reaction to exposure to oxygen. Its a form of passivation that limts further action.

Rust on Iron from moisture in the air is also a self limiting reaction as it will form a protective layer on the surface provided the moisture content is not increased.

Guess I spent too many years building jets! :wink:
