Can you post some interior and engine pictures? Sweet combo by the way, even if it does have almost 200,000 miles. Sucks that the mileage will always be questioned - maybe just keep it and drive/enjoy it.. :headbang:

Interior/Engine Pics

Hey thanks! I've really enjoyed this car. Yeah it does kind of suck that the mileage will be questioned. I just never questioned it because I never thought of selling it. I thought about selling it for well over a year before I ever posted the ad.

Engine plaque is missing and needs to be replaced.... Anyone know where I can get a Ford repro? I hear there are some aftermarket versions out there, but I'm a bit skeptical of those...

None taken. What other signs are you seeing. Just trying to learn about these cars. What are the right seats for this car?

The front seats in your car have the Knee-Bolster, those seats were in the '90-91 mustang's.

The correct seats for the '93 cobra are the NON-Knee bolster seats and were in the '92 mustangs also.

Here's a pic of the correct seat

Oh, okay. Well, looks like there's more about this car that I don't know. I've always been more on the mechanical side of things, not so much interiors, etc. I appreciate it, as I would not have known that. I just never looked much at the interiors of other '93's. Actually, I've never seen another '93 up close in person. I wonder why somebody would have switched out the seats...? Whatever.

Rear hatch carpet looks beat up, door map pockets are raggy, wrong seats, why would anyone take out original 64k mile stock seats and replace them with better condition incorrect style seats, intake missing decal, just overall engine look, been repainted is more in line with a high mile car.

Looks like I should have spent a month on here asking questions well before now... especially before selling. Now I'm starting to question a lot about this car. I wonder if it is the original interior altogether...

They probably switched the seats out because they showed wear consistent with high miles. However it is difficult to find mint black 93 cobra seats.

Did you check to see on the inside of the drivers door for the data sticker? It will list the interior code for the color. Tell us what code it is and we can figure it out.

Sucks that you are finding all this info now instead of earlier! Maybe just break out the old credit card and order everything up and bring her back to her former self.... A nice driver in your combo is still a wanted car. :headbang:

Will do. Hey Thanks for the information. If I keep the car, and it looks like I'm probably going to have to, I plan to restore it to as close to original as possible.

hey thanks man, no doubt. It does kind of suck to find out all of this stuff now, but I never claimed to be an expert on these cars. You guys are the experts, maybe I can learn something from you all. I'll probably keep the car. I don't have any problems with continuing to restore it. Anyway, I don't care what anybody says, it is still a fantastic car. Some guy stopped me in traffic just this morning going crazy over it.
