To quote a recent Yahoo posting titled "Classic muscle cars to buy"(11 cars listed):
"#9. 1993 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra: Of all the 5.0-liter (er [sic], 4.9 liter) Mustangs built from 1979 to 1993, this one is the best. Riding on a specially tuned suspension and 17-inch wheels, powered by a 235-horse version of the classic injected 5.0 V-8, and perfectly decorated to be distinctive and handsome, the Cobra was the first car to come out of Ford's Special Vehicle Team. Only 4993 were made. Another 107 were built as "R" models, but those are pricier." Pictured is a vibrant red Cobra identical to mine! Exceptionally pristine, rare, stock and original, under 100k original miles, and the most highly collectable Cobra. It is #854 out of a mere 4,993 of these cars manufactured. Stunning "vibrant red" exterior (one of three colors available for this year) with an extremely rare black cloth interior. It is very close to showroom condition, inside/out and mechanically. I have recently put over $3,900 into it to bring the mechanics up to like-new, including major tune-up, all new belts and hoses, fluids, water pump, timing chain, shocks, exhaust, chrome tail pipes, all new dash lights, and much, much more (too much to list here). My mechanic advised me that this car is in exceptional condition and has clearly never been abused or wrecked. This gorgeous Cobra is one of the few Cobras of this year which, with the exception of the aftermarket cd player and new Flowmaster mufflers and pipes done by Stan's mufflers in Auburn, is 100% STOCK, which a very rare find. New tabs good until 2015. It runs and drives like a new car, and sounds incredible! It has some very small blemishes on the body (no dents) which are covered in stock paint from the dealer, some wear on the wheels, and a very tiny wear mark on the side of the driver's seat. This car is going to do nothing but appreciate in value. Absolutely serious inquiries only. DO NOT contact me if you are a dealers, intermediary, or solicitors. I am not interested in consigning it. It is an amazing car! Hurry if you are interested because it will either sell fast or I will decide to keep it. I am not a motivated seller. I have the clean title in-hand, ready to sell it to you today!

Car being offered for "one week and one week only"? Is that the time for the drugs to wear off with that sell price? :smokin:

Can you really purchase re-pop body panel vin stickers?

yep, they are out there now so you have to be real careful in asking the question...now...does your car have all of it's OIRIGINAL VIN stickers? or...are there any reproduction VIN stickers on the car? and get it in writing...

I haven't come across any personally, but, would love to see one as compared to the originals..
There has to be some small detail in the differences...we should all want to know about.

Noticed that the engine pics in the latest ad now avoid showing the above. Buyer beware on this one.

Ad says - "Never wrecked, modified, or abused according to my mechanic."

Must be the mechanic for the Honda Civic in his garage. :nono:

He bought the car 2 years ago from a small lot in a close town to me for $10900. It wasn't for sale for long. The guy literally did spend $5 to $6k on replacing pretty much everything on it mechanically. He is trying and has been trying to recoupe his money I believe. He is asking way too much for a 100k miles car and has been on craigslist for quite sometime
