For sale, 93 Cobra with 17,000 actual miles. Red with grey interior. Have original window sticker and SVT certificate. Has a few tasteful bolt on modifications including long tubes and dumps, aluminum radiator with electric fan, 3.55's, alarm system, full tank of nitrous (I've never used), Eibach springs, and a few others. There is nothing wrong with the car, A/C works great, always been maintained with full synthetic oil. Adult owned collector car. No disapointments!

I looked at this one yesterday all VIN tags still are in place. Car is clean. Has 2 holes in front bumper where license plate was and a 3rd hole offset from the driver side plate hole from something. Car still has the same mods from original add minus nitrous.
Also owner refused to provide me with me with the VIN#. I had to drive 4.5 hours to see it in person and run a Carfax on site to find it had a salvage history.

That's ridiculous. I'd never deal with a seller that wouldn't provide a VIN.

He probably knew the history and hoped someone wouldn't run a history report and buy it on the spot. This is why we try to get as much info on every car, that way we can track and use the site as a reference. Some people prefer a clean title car, and some can deal with the previous history as long as it was out in the open initially.

Of course he knew the history. Unfortunately, a dishonest loser like that knows there are buyers out there that will buy without carefully checking a car's past.

I wouldn't have but it was on my way to an event I had planned to go to any way. Cost me about an extra 1-2 hours drive and time but at least I have the VIN # and can bring it to the attention of others.
He claims to have another guy coming from 4+ hours away to see it today. Hate to think this other guy might buy it and not know. The Indiana title was clear/normal so I think the Salvage/theft cleared when it was transferred from New Jersey to Indiana.
Was it in Indianapolis? I had the same situation last July, wouldn't give me the vin, drove to look at it, ran carfax immediately, then wasn't interested, he acted like he had no idea that it had salvage title from New York, what a waste of time.

Yes, he was just south of Indianapolis about 45 minutes.
