I spent a good bit of time looking at this one. The body and interior are excellent but all of the original drive train and accessories are gone. It would take a donor car to get it back to or a lot of time gathering parts. It has been in a shop for 2 years and no definitive answers where all the parts are other than knowing the engine and trans are gone.

I was trying to buy everything he had as a package but wouldn't come to a price I was comfortable with. When I tried to negotiate on the car alone I offered him $11k and he countered with $14k.
To me after I thought about it $11k was to much. At $11k I would have at least $20k into it getting an engine, trans, fuel system, wiring, computer, accessories, and whatever else it needs. Than is it really worth $20k with all the modifications. It would be a gorgeous car but than just a pretty modified 1993 mustang with a cobra VIN. If it was all intact and just been sitting there with a rod hanging outside the block (had a supercharger on it and got greedy with boost) I maybe would have did $14k for it.
He has probably close to $50k in parts with this car sitting in a commercial shop and realized it's going to take him another $15k to complete while paying someone to finish it with the motor and trans he has.
I keep checking back with him every week or so to see if he would take less

so i ended up buying this car and the engine and trans that were in it were garbage I took out the trans first and rebuilt it myself but then decided to go with a 6 speed magnum tremec and a dual disk clutch set up then I swapped out the motor with a short deck 363 4 bolt main stroker out of a friends race car. she is all back together and Im trying out different intake set ups to see what works best. but the car was super straight and it does have a ton of aftermarket parts on it, interior is mint and not cut up exactly what I was looking for.

I suspect they slapped it together to get is sold, Im still ok with what I paid for it and im having the motor that was in it built again for perhaps another project down the line and still have the t5 that came out of it all refreshed and ready to go also

Nice!!

That GT-40 intake brings back memories, had that on a little rebuilt 302 in my first LX hatch. Those intakes are great NA on the street. They bring crazy money used nowadays too, more than what they cost new if in good shape.

thanks

I always liked the tubular gt40 intake, but the upper and lower intake are pretty much stock and I cant help think its robbing this motor from some serious hp. I have a fully ported lower which i will try next, and i need to find something good for an upper or cut, port and weld the gt40 I have. however as you said they are getting close to the 7-800 dollar range for a nice set so cutting it up is hard. I may also want to go supercharged in the future (im looking for a kenne bell if anyone knows of one for sale) but then I would have to drop the compression before doing that. right now its 10-1

I took it out for a little spin today (finally got the idle dialed in its behaving well) and it pulls strong and super smooth. the internally balanced motor is so nice (my first on a fox) and revs so easily which is unlike any other fox I ever remember driving. I would be happy with it the way it is but I cant leave well enough alone, I dont think any of us can, so ported intake is next.

its come a long way since i got it last year thats for sure.

There was a company re-running a new run of Kenne Bell blowers, the used ones come up from time to time. I have been looking for one for a 93 gt I have, tossing the idea of throwing one on it. Here is one that is somewhat close to you.

if you are talking about TPS motorsports I know about them they had my deposit for almost 6 months they promised it would be ready at the latest dec of 2018 I placed my deposit in sept. of course they never got them and to this day I still dont think they have them I prefer to buy a new one with the flowzilla (built in blow off) anyway but no one has them. I even tried to call kenne bell and they didnt seem to know much about another run for a pushrod motor thats when I got suspecious and decided to take my deposit back.

thanks for the link

this is the closest I have come to even find a decent one in recent times, there was one on ebay a while back it was trashed and the guys still wanted 3K for it.

do you think this one is worth it?

the supposed price of a new unit with the flowzilla intake is about 4500 if they ever make them again. so 4200 seems a bit high for a used one idk I suppose the rarity of it determines the value

I tried to buy a cross boss intake and carb for my boss302 and even after bidding 7k on it, it still sold for more...
