I got a TXT today, said he sold for more than asking price, I sure hope you didn't wire him money before you looked at the car.

That's the first time I've seen a buck tag screwed into the radiator support assembly. Enjoy the restoration, southernsvt!

I think they pulled it from by the headlight and put it there so it would not get lost.

Doesn't look too bad with a wash job, window trim does look good for sitting for years. Glad one will be resurrected eventually!

Where did you advertise a salvage titled car that someone paid $18K for it? Ebay?
SPEEDFREEK wrote:Yea these cars are getting stupid.
You've been into these cars for quite some time. Do you feel this latest increase in value is just a temporary bubble or part of a permanent long term escalation in prices?

I did not advertise the car, I did a build thread on Face Book on the 93 Cobra FB Page, I had a lot of people wanting the car. The car actually sold local to me. Like I always state, a car is worth what someone is willing to pay. I don't think salvage title is going to mean a whole lot in a few more years, look how many vintage Mustangs BJ sells with NO TITLE, or BILL OF SALE, or Salvage titles, they still bring 6 Figures!!

Also, I sold the Mystic 93 Cobra I built for 35K, it too had a salvage title. Don't get caught in the while title BS, if the car is CLEAN! it doesn't bother me one way or the other what the title says, when was the last time you had your title out at a car show?

Which 93 Cobra FB page? I need to add that to my groups. :-)
