This 1993 Ford Mustang cobra svt is in pristine condition and has only 920 miles. It is stored in a climate controlled garage and has no rust leather interior.

$41.5K?!? Might as well put that one back in the climate controlled garage for another 10 years.

That's about double the original sticker price!

fortunately, to the right guy, and considering a new dually is $65k, new mustang $40kish..i think the seller may be closer than we think. i know 3 r model cars that have sold in the last 2 months that brought WAY more than the message board kings said they should...

^^^

$40K for a Mustang with 435hp and all the other performance features available on a late model Mustang is one thing. $40K for a 23-year old Mustang with 235hp and early 90s performance ... not anytime soon. Especially with a number of other ones like this out there with asking prices around $10K less.

And the R market (with only 107 made) is not a good indicator of what the '93 Cobra market will do.

where are the <1000 mile cars for $30k. and i hear the same performance comments everyday, however, an 88 testarossa was a $50k car a year ago.... now they are $150k. people like time capsules and will pay dearly for them, not as if they actually get driven.

I've been a diehard Ford fan for years and always will be. However, a Mustang Cobra is no Ferrari, and using the testarossa as a predictor of Cobra prices is kinda useless.

A car's value is based on what someone is willing to pay for it. A sub 1000 Mile 1993 Cobra is nearly the holy grail for collectors who have similar interest as ours. The asking price is unheard of by today's standard, but somewhere out there is someone who is willing to part with a great deal of cash for the emotional experience of having such a car. Although I didn't spend close to that for mine, I did spend more than what one would typically expect to dish out on a 23 year old car. It tugged at my memories as a younger man and it was worth every penny. That car will be in someone's garage giving them the same satisfaction, but not for 41k..... Not yet.

This car just sold a couple of months ago for 30k heck the Morrison Motors tag is still on the rear from where he bought it. He just bought it to flip but I think it'll be sitting a while for that kind of money.

Anyone can ask any price for anything - whether they get it is another story. But someone, somewhere establishes precedent, and maybe it will be with this car. Of course, it's no secret most cars are pretty bad investments, sometimes including the 'holy grail' of 93 cobras (as is the case here). Unfortunately, seems like this person doesn't really have a passion for these cars, but can't blame them for 'buy low, sell high' aspirations.
