For sale is my beloved 93 Cobra. #2346 0f 4993. The Vin has been verified by SVT but I do not have a certificate. It can be purchased from them for $50.

I am the 2nd owner. It has about 90k miles. The previous owner had a 3:73 in it and did not change the trans gear so its less then that.

Purchased in 2000. Never been in an accident. Any paint work is cosmetic and done by a reputable shop and cannot be noticed.

It is Black with grey leather. Options are factory sunroof, CD player. It has an aftermarket radio (Alpine) with iPod Adapter. The original cd player needs repair but will be included.

I tried to keep it as stock as possible but repairs along the way made it difficult. It is 95% stock and could be put back to 100% with very little effort. It has the original complete motor, trans and rear end.

It has BBK headers as the originals cracked due to a broken motor mount. It has an H-Pipe and 2 chamber flow masters( find me a fox body that doesn't). That was done before I owned it.

The smog pump was removed. It locked up and I didn't see a need in replacing it. The head tube was cut and welded. The heads are still intact.

It has a 3:31 gear in it. The 3:73 was removed and this is the closest I could get when the entire rear end was rebuilt with new axles.

The drivers side door handle was replaced with a metal one after the plastic one broke. I didn't do the passenger side but I have it.

Door pins were replaced. Doors open and close perfect.

Wheels were stripped and repainted. New BFgoodrich tires on it. They're about 5 years old but have almost no miles on them.

The heads were rebuilt by Livernois. It developed a miss fire and we couldn't find it. Turned out to be a broken valve spring but since they were out I had a complete valve job and rebuild done on them. The original heads were installed.

The clutch was replaced when the throw out bearing seized with a Ford Motorsport part. It has about 5-7000 miles on it.

All glass is etched with the VIN

Everything in the car works. The A/C needs charged.

Original aluminum spare and tools included.

All windows are tinted 5% with 35% on windshield. The sunroof is also tinted 5%.

Does any one here have any info on the VIN being etched into the glass? Why would that occur?

We etch the glass and body panels at our dealership. It acts as a security feature. We charge 299  its in everyone of my deals

299!?! That's probably as ridiculously marked up as the extended warranties your finance department sells. How many of your customers realize there's sometimes more profit in those add-ons than the vehicle they're purchasing.

This is my car. Thanks for posting it here.

Here is the current link as someone keeps flagging it. http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/5930309325.html

The glass etching is for theft prevention as others have said. Fox bodies are big on being stolen here in the Detroit area and VIN swapping them. You'd have to replace all the glass to properly VIN swap it.

Link is still good. Must be someone who wants the car and can't afford it?
