1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra #622. The car was purchased by a collector in 1993 at Magic City Ford in Roanoke, VA and immediately taken to Staunton, VA where it was stored for several years. In the late 90's it was purchased by an attorney in Stuart's Draft, VA who occassionally showed the car at local events. The present owner purchased the car from him in Dec, 2001 and at that time it had a bit over 1,000 miles on it. Over the next 41/2 years the present owner kept the car covered in my garage and drove it approximately once or twice a month in good weather. This car has never been in rain and it was always washed before being covered and stored. It still has the new car smell and all original parts with the exception of the battery which was replaced by the attorney. The car has never been modified and all original paperwork is included with the car.

This car is in perfect shape in every way. The engine bay and underside would need to be FULLY detailed to be a MCA show winner, but that is about it. The car needs nothing and it truly is a great example of a 4,800 mile '93 Cobra. It has no acid rain in the paint, no blemishes of any kind, paint work of any sort has ever been done.

The car is located at the Performance Autosport Showroom, so if there are specific pictures that you would like please email us and let us know. Performance Autosport does not own this car, we are selling this car for the owner.

Also http://www.performanceautosport.com/detail.asp?car=5818 but no number or vin on this one unless you someone wants to email her.

text incase the thead disappears or something:

some info on the car... Black 93 Cobra, #1894. it runs super strong, super loud, super cool. at one point, this car was stolen. it has no VIN plate on the dash... it does have an Oklahoma issued VIN stamped in the door jam. I currently have a CLEAN Missouri title with my name on it, in hand. I bought this car in Las Vegas, and shipped it here to MO. i had it inspected and plated in Missouri in April 2008 with no problems. so, the whole previous theft thing is dissolved and is not an issue at all.

i have done quite a few things to this car, but it needs a few things too. when i bought it, it had some mods already installed and those are:
-KB sub frames
-strut tower brace
-CAI
-lowering springs
-adjustable shocks/struts
-BBK shorty headers
-hi flow X pipe
-underdrive pullies
-steeda tri ax
-rear end gears (not exactly sure the ratio, but they did NOT install a new speedo gear)

things i have added or fixed:
- New exterior door handles
- New front bumper cover lisence plate bracket
- New windshield
- New Headlights (all six pieces... factory style with clear side markers... also have brand new never installed amber side markers)
- New foglights
- Replaced side view mirrors
- Replaced lower door window trim
- Refurbished windshield molding
- Replaced Passenger Door Arm Rest
- Ash tray door fix kit
- Billet Ash tray switch plate
- 90-93 Steering wheel w/air bag (has cruise buttons)
- New "COBRA" door sills
- Replaced back seat ash tray
- New locks pins
- Replaced interior door handle bezels
- Added front and rear floor mats
- Replaced missing cigarette lighter
- New battery
- New Idle Air Control Gasket
- New Upper Intake Gasket
- New Ignition Module
- New Spark Plugs
- New Spark Plug Wires
- New Fuel Filter
- New Fuel Pressure Regulator
- New Thermostat and Gasket and housing
- New Lower Intake Gaskets
- New Distributor Rotor
- New Distributor Cap
- New Radiator
- Replaced Distributor
- Has new mufflers... not sure the brand name (are damn near identical to Flowmaster, but cost less)... had them installed at Fred's Muffler in St. Charles.

the paint on the car NEEDS to be redone. simple as that. other than that, she is in good running condition. No stereo in the car. Speakers are in place, but no head unit. 180,000 miles on the clock... not sure what it should be though... not knowing the mileage of the car when the gears were swapped and them not installing the proper speedo gear makes for a tough call there... could be 100,000 miles, could be 179,000, i just don't know.

She has a little trouble getting started... never left me stranded... but just kinda slow to turn over... could be the battery... could be the starter (i have a brand new in the box, not refurb, starter that will come with the car. The AC NEEDS charged... and the fog lights do not work... the switch is bad.
http://www.cobra-dan.com/93cobra.html

asking $5,500... as is. I'll include the full set of front and rear 2003 Mach 1 seats with the car for $6,000.
At this point, the car is really for sale. not looking for interest or anything. its up for grabs.

The plates are expired, but i MIGHT have put 200 miles on the car all year since it was last inspected. I didn't get the plates renewed because i can't afford to have it inspected and pay for new plates... simple as that. mellow.gif

edit: the car had a Crane Cams Fireball iginition installed when i bought it... i took it out, but still have it... works great. comes with the car. I also bought a pair of Khumos tires... don't remember the model... they are still in the condition they were when they were delivered. they also come with the car.

Another one dead. :(

Here's the story on the car...

Image

It belongs to a friend. He yanked the drivetrain to use in another project, and I told him about the VIN on the block.

"Hey, if you check that cobra engine for a VIN, and find anything, let me know. There's a 1993 cobra registry, so I want to be able to update it with what cobra is no more."

He said...

"Yeah, it is there. Looks like 145373 but the 145 are not well stamped. What consecutive unit number number is yours as it should have come from around the same time being that they both had early intakes."

I have cobra #195 That VIN of the cobra falls inbetween 190 and 195.
