Any thoughts on changing to vBulletin?

Something not working correctly or do you have any suggestions?

Any thoughts on changing to vBulletin?

Seems that this is the only forum i frequent that is on phpbb. Any thoughts on that. Or just don't care enough about it? Or what?

Do you know how to do the conversion? And what benefits there are?

$100 annual license fee with vB
Free for phpbb.

Maybe an upgrade to phpbb version (3), but that's something to look at over the winter.

Overall, with one car (the 93cobra) as the main topic and draw to this forum, not sure a whole new site is needed.

Just seems like vbulletin is more up to date looking and has more features. This php site looks like an early 2000's era website.
I don't see why you guys wouldn't want to improve the site.....

What are some of the changes track? I'm not very computer savy, this works fine for me, if it's like svtp I'm not interested, that site is confusing sometimes

Not confusing to me, but it takes forever to load each page.

I made mention of this years ago, but nothing really more than that. With the small band of regulars, it wouldn't be overly benefical unless you wanted to make it more of a full time gig with vendors, advertisers, etc.

Unless things have changed, I don't know that you can move the database over. While some things may come over, other parts will be lost. I'm sure with some scripting it could possibly done.

If you don't like black background on SVP...scroll to the very bottom of the forum where you will find a box with an option to change the background color to white.

IMOP this forum works...I don't think it needs to be changed

Too much going on, not sure when there's a new post, and yes too dark, I realize you probably have the answers to all my concerns I'm really just not into svtp that much, I've been on there a few times, I like the same users that we get on here with some fresh faces mixed in on occasion, and this is all 93's which I have, (and I know there is a 93 only section on there I just don't care for it) like calling cars with no sunroofs hard tops, just doesn't work for me, sorry
