Posissibly another dead one....

Post by RollTide93 »

I was rear ended today and then I slammed into another car, needless to say the damage is pretty heavy, Do you guys think it will be totalled? I don't know if I even want the car at this point anyway.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you, by the way the side is buckled and over all damage it will be totaled out. What type of insurance did you have on it? An agreed value policy?

Willy I was thinking the same thing by the damage on the left rear corner, I have state farm, I'm pretty sure it's an agreed policy but I don't remember agreeing on a price so I'm not sure, if I remember right they said they would look at what 1993 cobra's with comperable mileage were going for at the time. ya I'm ok Cobra845 but my back is a little sore and I'm sure it will be bumping tomorrow.

F me.......totally feel for you. That's my worst fear right there. In traffic with no place to go.

Anyway, it really depends on your insurance policy, but it'll will be total due to the man hours that would be needed at a body shop to even get it ready for paint.

See what the cost to buy it back when it's all said and done. I've seen much worse cars than that put back on the road with no issues.

Sorry that happened glad you are ok. My Red 93 was totalled and was in the same condition as yours, actually identical on the rear quarter. My insurance gave me good money for it, I wanted to buy it back but they had some BS reason that they said I couldnt buy it back!!! Yours is repariable but I am sure you will want a new one. Well the search will begin for a new one right??!

d there was 119k on the clock, but it drove and looked like a 50k car all day, just ask jstanley. I am conflicted, I really love and want the car but I don't want a totally redone one. I agree it should be totalled cause of the rear quarter damage and I got the hood up and the radiator is smashed a bit and pushed into the front of the motor. I will commence with pulling some stuff off like the mats, pro 5.0, cd player, air intake, kenny brown strut brace, and maybe a couple other goodies.

Yeah, it was super clean...thats why i was trying to buy it from you. If you're not interested in buying it back from the insurance co let me know before you tell them no. Maybe we can work something out that works for all of us.
