Greetings Fellow Cobra Owners!

Post by Z282SLO »

After driving Fox-body Mustangs for nearly 25 years (including an '89 GT I owned for 18 years), I'm now a proud Cobra owner. Figured I'd join the registry and post some pics of my new ride.

I was planning on keeping my '89 GT when I saw the Cobra on Autotrader. After a closer look, it was an easy decision to get the Cobra. It was tougher to sell the '89 after all those years, but one toy at a time is enough for me.

Wow, thought I held on to my cars a long time.......lol!

Car looks really nice. Mileage low? Looks to have a long list of mods.

The only thing I see a bit out of whack is the the car looks a bit raked. Shocks mabye?

Not that I'm aware of. It does not have the NY odometer. The car was originally sold in PA and then remained in NJ until I purchased it.

Thanks. Mileage is a little over 44K. You're correct about the mods ... quite a list. I was a little concerned at first re: quality/correctness/etc. especially with the supercharger, ignition and fuel injection. However, the car runs perfectly and the car has been given the once over by my local speed shop (owner is a certified Vortech installer) and he says the mods were high-quality and done properly.

As for your comment about the car looking a bit raked ... thanks for the observation. I'm not aware of any suspension issues ...I'll check into it.

Definitely some good stuff on there for sure. Car looks extremely well maintained and stored.

As far as my comment about the rear sitting a bit high, it could be a bunch of things, but nothing to worry about...........just a casual observation.

Any idea of the power the car is making? Shoud be around 400 I would guess.

BTW, welcome to the site. Relatively small group here, but a good bunch of guys with some knowledge after messing around with the Fox cars for 20+ years.
