1981 F100 all original 47,000 miles
1995 F250 4X4 off road
1995 Lightning white
2005 FX4,
2007 FX4,

Do you do car shows (how many a year)? cruises? etc? how do you enjoy your ride?
With the 1966 F100 I would do about 6 big shows a year and maybe half dozen other smaller shows,
I've shown my Tbird and the 2007 Shelby, when the weather is better it's Friday Meet and Greet at the local Loews, starting soon the 93 will be going to it's first show

Family history - how you got into this hobby/car collecting?
Growing up in central Okla, it was always cars, who had what, who's ran faster!
Started with Auto Tech in school and built a D100 truck at 17, the first real car was the 73 Rally Pack Challenger that I bought one day while home on leave from the Marines, the one's on the lots just did not suit my desires, had to have that one on the top of the car hauler that rolled in while I was there.
was a huge Dodge fan right up to the point when I bought my first Ford truck in 94' haven't looked back since!
just kept buying one's that needed rescued, fixing and trading up for the next, until I finally got the Shelby and was able to cross that item off my bucket list!

1993 car info:
#2989
Put into production in New Hampshire, and at some point transported down to Naples Florida for the summer home vehicle for the original owners
All original, no modifications, 14,570 miles at time placed up for sale

How did you find this 93 cobra and how did you get it home:
Hope this isn't to Long winded!
I'd been looking for quite a while for another vehicle, since I sold my 1966 which I built myself and had for almost 10 years, I tried several others, all where good but just didn't fill the void,
I came real close to getting a McLaren right before I found #2989 but it was sold right before I made the deal,
things happen for a reason and I'm real glad someone else beat me to that one!
I've always been a fan of the fox body mustangs, had one and almost bought a Highway Patrol fox car that I retire DPS officer had and put some nice touches to!
I didn't want one that had been modified or to many miles on it but had a limit on the budget I was going to spend.
Since the wife lost her job of 23 years I knew I was going to have to part with my Shelby and start cutting back on my joys to help out,
but did not what to not have something to play with in the garage,
and I guess I came across #2989 right after John had put it up for sale at Naples Motorsports just at the right time.
it probably took me longer on this deal than it did with any of the other 24 cars that came before it, just because we kept going back and forth on price and others standing in line like wolfs waiting for the kill if I failed!
I've learned my lesson on buying vehicles site un-seen out of state so made allot of people send me more and more photos and not having them transported so I had a carrier,
enclosed pick it up after the sale was done and deliver it down to South East Texas!
and of course I could not get to the house when they showed up so the wife had to take position and do the inspection! Perfect
Except!
it's not a flaw that I will talk about but it needs to be fixed, I think the carrier had it on the bottom with another car on top rack and that at some point it got so close that It put a "Knife" like crease right down the middle of the roof from the windshield right up to the sun roof where it stopped! it was so close you have to point it out but it did "dent" the roof! oh well, got a guy "Dent Dogs" that have a real talent for fixing just those little things and no one can ever tell.

What would be your next car to add to the stable?
If times get better and the wife gets back to work, it will have to be another GT500!

Shout-out to members:
I've been a member of other clubs, Slick60's club guys are the best, been with them for like 12 years and even thou I don't have a 61 to 66 F100 anymore I'll remain a member.
And I've tried a few other clubs with the Saleen and the Shelby's and have not always been welcomed or made to feel like a welcomed member all the time!
The Cobra Registry guys, this club are right up there at the top when it comes to good people, willing to share and hear what you might have to share regardless how meaningless it might be and I appreciate that! :headbang:
thanks
