Hard top, cd car. Rear defrost, Power seat.
Re: Price opinions 93 cobra
mid-high teens..nice combo not having original tires and battery stinks for an investment grade car.

I somewhat agree with DB, on what he's said, really depends on what you plan on doing with it. It also depends if you want to go higher on the price, if you plan on keeping it for a long time. Is it a well documented car, front plate car, close to you where you intend on buying it? Its a low mileage car, but has enough miles you can enjoy it a little too, and not feel so quilty driving it from time to time. I myself have a low mileage black/black sunroof car, that I bought like 4 years ago, don't really plan on selling it anytime soon. Do you have any pictures of it or more info, build number and etc.

Re: Price opinions 93 cobra
I don't have the number on it yet, I just know the guy who owns it. Been in his garage forever.
My plan is to leave it alone, drive to local car shows if anything. I own a modified teal and a clone so want a car that will appreciate. Front plate car as in license plate, yes.. Car is local so that helps. He has documents on the car, hoping to see if he has oil filter.

I'm using this as a close reference to the one I'm looking at, asking 21900 for Opal Interior car. .

Re: Price opinions 93 cobra
I'd say anything under $20k is a good buy.

Agreed.Saddle wrote:I'd say anything under $20k is a good buy.
If you end up paying at the upper end of DB's range for this, it's gonna have to sit in your garage for quite a while to have any kind of appreciation, and then it's likely to be only modest at best. Most of the prices I've seen for wrapper 93 Cobras and ultra low mileage 93 Cobras in pristine condition (orig. tires, completely stock, all documentation, etc., etc.) are only in the high 20s at this time.

What about these then. .

From what I see a low mileage black on black should be around the 25k price in comparison to the market today.

Re: Price opinions 93 cobra
What about those?
The first one and the third one are not investment cars. Both are modified with one at 51K miles and the other with over 120K. The second one is the only one that could be considered as a possible investment -- a clean, well-kept Cobra in stock condition with low miles. Of course, this one also has the typical pie-in-the-sky dealer asking price. Let's see how long that one will sit at that price.
You probably know better than to base your purchase decision on a car you want as an investment with buy it now prices or dealers' asking prices on eBay. If you pay 25K for the black/black you described -- take it to car shows, win some trophies and enjoy it. You'll have a lot more fun that way than letting it sit for the length of time it will require to appreciate in any meaningful way.

Re: Price opinions 93 cobra
Yea those three aren't good examples, Streetside is crazy on their asking price 22k would be a good starting point on the car they have. Front plate hurts it a little as most people don't want it or the holes in the bumper from it. If you are asking for a good price in which you should purchase it then 18-20k tops and it will retail in the 20-23 range as DB has said.
