Also, earlier today, my 17 year old son took all 4 SVT kids out to blow the construction dust off of them:

Now that the cat is out of the bag, here is the story:

I bought my first 04 in 2013 with about 14,000 miles. It's a great car and I planned on keeping it forever. We've put about 200-300 miles on it per year and just put new tires on it a couple hundred miles ago. The car now has 15,000 miles and has never had any performance mods. It came to me with a CDC light bar. I've treated it like a garage queen ever since I acquired it. It gets driven once in a great while on a sunny day.

Flash forward to a couple months ago... I was doing my daily eBay perusing when I came across a 4,000 mile Mystichrome vert that was as flawless as a ~14 year car can be. My car is in great shape, but this car is on a whole different level (and priced accordingly). I sent the seller an inquiry message through eBay and the funny thing is I got a "mailer demon" (bounced back email) returned to my email address with the seller's personal email address listed. It must have been fate, because I contacted him directly and he replied. He had a seriously high reserve (rightfully so) and the bids didn't meet the reserve. I offered him slightly increasing amounts and let him know I was a cash buyer of a performance vert going into the winter months. After multiple eBay listings and a couple months of negotiations, we reached a deal. I flew out to TN, rented a car and drove to GA to have a look. The second I saw it, I yelled "SOLD" in my head! Like I said, my 15,000 mile example is in great shape, but this one looks like no one has ever sat in it. The original floor mats are preserved like new in the trunk. The seats have almost no sign of wear whatsoever! I lowered the top to have a look and the seller, who bought it from the original owner said it was only the second time he had seen the top down in the 2 years he had owned it. The first owner was a guy in his 60s that lived in the same neighborhood. The car never left a handful mile radius since new. I cut the guy a big check and went home to coordinate insurance and shipping.

I see no reason to have 2 of the same car and intend to sell my first one next Spring. I'm waiting until Spring since I don't think it's a good plan to try and sell a performance vert heading into the winter. Although it's neat to see twin cars sitting in the garage, there are other cars I have spaces in the garage reserved for.

That's the story! The new one will will most likely get 100-200 miles per year and live a cushy life.

Thanks! I filmed and edited it on my iPad with iMovie. I get a kick out of piecing the movies together.

As for keeping both... I don't plan to. There are other collectible cars I have my eyes on and parking spots reserved for.

I will be listing my 15,000 mile example for sale. If someone wanted it now, I'd sell now, but since it's a convertible, I was just planning on listing it in the Spring.

The Terminators are cool cars, but the Mystichrome is what really does it for me. The car is a rock star. Whenever I take it out, it always gets a lot of attention. Most have never seen a car that is so vivid and changes colors like that.

The one I'll be selling has brand new tires (wasn't planning on selling it when I bought them) and a stout, unmolested engine.

The one I'll be selling:
