Ooooh! Surprise

Post by Dantak »

I just got under my cobra for the first time(btw, I haven't had a chance to post pictures yet so those are here too), and the previous owner was a little modest with the mods. Tell me if I'm just dreamin' but is that an aluminum driveshaft. I'm changing the clutch in about a month so I guess I'll find out for sure then. Sorry that one is out of focus.

DAMN IT, just when I've about talked myself in not buying a teal cobra, and instead blowing more money on my 89, you post these pics.

Beautiful car man!!!!

Nice Snake. What Springs do you have? I love the stance.

Not really sure, as I implied in the original post the guy I bought it from was kind of an idiot. He told me the only thing aftermarket was the clutch, which may or may not be aftermarket but is definately foul. The car actually has a strut tower brace, long tube headers, mac exhaust, subframe connectors, 3.73 rearend and now an aluminium driveshaft, most of which I figured out before I bought it. I could tell the springs weren't stock but don't have any idea how to tell what kind they are.

Yes it is, btw its hitting the mufflers. You need to have that muffler moved off to the side, it looks cocked too.

It looks like it is from that picture but it's really not. The muffler is a little off though.

I see a line that is scratched into the drive shaft, some thing was rubbing at some point.
