Lots of questions!

Post by Dantak »

OK. Either the guy I bought my Cobra from or the guy he bought it from was a total electric idiot.

First, The main cable coming from the negative on the battery isn't connected to anything, just hanging out down by the oil pan. Could someone tell me where this goes, preferrably with pictures.

Next, he just cut the wires that go to the back up light switch so there is no connector there to go to the switch. Can I buy this some place other than a junkyard.

Next, sorry this picture is out of focus but it's as good as I could get being so close, what are those two wires that are spliced together? I couldn't really tell what color they were. These come out of the firewall on the driver's side right where the wires to the reverse lights go. Those other two wires are supposed to go to the backup light switch.

Next, what is this wire? He had a pretty serious stereo system in the thing before I told him to take it out and take 500 off the price. This looks like it could be an amp cable that ran straight from the battery.

Last one, what is this electrical thing that plugs into the transmission.

Have no clue on the spliced wires.

The red cable you're holding is definitely a small amp wire.

The part in the picture on the transmission is the speed sensor.

I agree with all 3 answers.

You need to pan back a bit from the first pic so we can see what it is.

That is panned back. That is as high up as I can get the thing and as low to the ground as I can get and still see it. I wish I could be more helpful. Maybe I can get a better pic when I change out the clutch. Man that is NOT going to be fun with the transmission right in front of my face :(
