big frank wrote: I bought it! It's clean, not perfect, but nice. Is your black a 93? I can tell you were a near perfect teal/leather is if you are looking for one. I was gong to buy it, but the owner (a friend of mine) hasn't commited to sell. I think he is going to as he has his eye on a newer Mach 1. I think he is wanting somewhere around 10k for it, and it's worth it. 2 owner, both adults that keep their stuff imaculate (I know both of them) with 110k miles on the clock, but you wouldn't know it by looking at it. I got excited to buy one and picked up the one down your way. Will have pics up soon.

What have you done to yours?
Sweet. Glad someone that cares about these cars picked it up. It looked very nice in the pics.

Yea, the black one is my '93. The '03 is DSG.

My '93 is COMPLETELY stock. Not a single thing done to it, if you don't include an Autolite battery. This thing is so stock, it still has the rivets on the stock camber plates and it drives straight as an arrow. Stock radio, stock springs, stock exhaust..... need I go on? lol 87k on the clock and, like you said about your friend's, you can't tell on this one. Original paint, all panels matching. I think it even has the original clutch (no indication the H-pipe was ever removed).

This is my fav pic....

Quarters are PERFECT! :headbang:

Only things I have done was replace the factory deck with a factory deck (the original one wasn't sending sound to the speakers), new Ford front lens, new NOS front brakes, and had the rims redone (which had no curb marks to begin with).

I'm very happy with this car.

You car is awesome! I really like the black cars. I have a 79 LX that was built for autocross/parking lot slolom and it was a fun car to drive.

This car has some rock chips and a ugly ding in the rear bumper cover. I'm going to take it to a body guy that used to own the other car I was looking at and see waht he can do to fix the bumper cover spot. The rock chips I'm not sure what to do with. The rims have some curb rash at the bead in a couple of spots, but I think they can be repaired. The rims are polished like I have seem on other cars, and the guy told me he bought it with them polished (he is the origional owner) Other than the flowmaster cat backs, and K&N filter (in the stock air box),, and aftermarket radio, it's all stock. if I can get the few spots in the paint fixed, and have the rims worked over to take off the rash, I will be VERY happy with it. I plan on leaving it as stock as possible, but it's fun to think of how this car would be with a nice Procharger under the hood! The 93s have so many unique stuff on them from SVT, I had to have one.

Your not that far from me. I'm sure we will catch up with eachother sometime. Maybe at a car show or Mustang event. Do you hit any of the Mustang events in the area? Gotta catch up with you sometime and check out your car.

The next event I'm planning on attending is the Knotts show on April 22nd. For the last few years, my site has organized a cruise down to SoCal on the Friday before the show. I'm planning on bringing my '93 this year.

lol, no pics yet. Nothing anyone elses '93 Cobra won't do. Only had her for like two weeks. All I know is she's bone stock and I start out in first and crank the wheel, then shift to second and it's all smoke after that, LOL.

Doubt it. That's what this car is made for. I'm not afraid. This is an SVT product. These guys run hundreds of pounds of nitrus through their stock motors. Cram gears all day long and hardly hear of any problems.

Are you saying you don't drive your car?? Are you one of those old farts who just drives around as slow as he possibly can because he's afraid of actually driving his $80,000 Viper? Out of all the Vipers I have EVER seen there has only been one man who actually romped it. And that's what they are made for, plain and simple but they never use their investment. I didn't buy this car to just sit in my garage and just stare at it.

You are right, but it's an early SVT product. We aren't talking about an '04 Terminator, we are talking about the FIRST SVT vehical. I'm not saying they aren't strong, but I also never see guys running "hundreds of pounds of nitrous" through stock 93 Cobras.
Are you saying you don't drive your car??
I just got my car (actually picking it up tomorrow), but I have had many cars; 68 big block Mustangs, a 79 LX built for autocross,
Chalengers, and I now have a 68 Shelby in restoration. I have driven them all But I don't abuse them, and the Cobra won't be an exception.

Nor did I. I bought the car to drive. I have never had a trailer queen, and don't ever expect to own one. Even when the Shelby is finished, even though I will show it, it is being built as a driver. I gave up some concourse origionality to have suspention and horsepower that the car didn't come with origionally. I may be an old fart (depending how much of a young fart you are) I drive my cars, but I don't abuse them Contrary to what you think, these cars weren't built to do full throttle doughnuts and clutch drops. That's abuse, not driving.

Who said anything about abuse? I haven't taken this car over 5500RPM, no need to. And clutch drops....? It's not necessary to get these things to burn especially on the right asphalt. Only ab use that's going on here is tire wear, which doesn't matter because these tires have some dryrotted sidewalls.

Nitrous, hrmmmm let me find a recent thread I saw.... oh here it is: http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread ... ht=nitrous

Your not looking at the whole picture. Your not hammering just your tires, it's hard on rear ends, tranies, etc.

Most of those guys in that thread didn't have totaly stock engines, though most claimed stock bottoms, which I'm impressed with and stand partialy corrected.

I'm not raggin on ya. It's your car to do with what you wish; that's why you bought it. Full throttle doughnuts just seems excessive. I believe they were built more for the twistys, hence the tunned suspenstion and such.

Quite frankly, I have never owned a 5.0 roller motor. My LX, having been built to autocross/parking lot slolom, just had a stock 79 engine. It was what was under the car that made it fun!
