I've already sourced the hydroboost set up and the front drive system to make everything work. I will have it in the car first as it looks like it should not interfere when coming in from the bottom of the car.
Yeah, 19's are a bit much. I have to decide the style of wheel and I figured I would give Tony a call and see what he can do.

14.3 isn't bad for a stock coupe. I am thinking of putting an 85 coupe I have together with the running gear out of the 93. Haven't decided what to do for sure yet.
I'll let you know before I start and see if your available. I am going to "tinker" and bolt the trans up, header and starter out of the car and then put the assembly in from the bottom. Should make it easier to work on. Never done a Fox this way but I don't see why it wouldn't be easier. Probably going to make a cheap engine dolly so it will hold the assembly when I align the K Member.

When ever your ready to start the process let me know and ill help out. I have been thinking about doing the same thing to my coupe i bought from oregon.... nice little gem but needs more guts. it only went a 14.3 in its all stock 80K mile form.
actually tim all of what your saying will work perfect. the only draw back i can see in getting the assembly up in there, is the brake booster assembly. now being 93 cobra i think the booster is somehwat smaller but still not enough to clear the head atleast on a 4.6 4V motor. I have had to either swap to a hydroboost setup or even manual brakes. both of which works fine just have to decide before that process starts or you will be cussing the car.....

Are you going with GT500 14" brakes? a buddy of mine just did this swap on his 2000 Cobra R. 18" wheels are a minimum. His 2000R stockers still fit with the one piece brembo calipers.
If you stay 13” , I had my stock 93 Cobra wheels made to 9.25” wide in the rear, 275/40R17 fits perfect and the quality of the wheel is surprisingly good. The guy I used in CA cut the inner bead off and welded on a new one from a different wheel. Thus, I only have one weld seem, unlike the cheaper ones you see who weld a strip in and have two weld seams (bad idea, too much room for error). You will need a wider tire though, better take the hammer to those inner fenders! I hear a 315 will fit without tubs if you massage the insides, a bunch.
This is a dream build for me, maybe someday when the kids are older.

Thanks for the info. I am looking at around a 285 minimum to a 315 but most likely around 305. Really depends on sizes and quality of tire.
I want the stock wheel design but I want a 14" GT brake (different caliper) and 2 piece rotor. GT500 Brakes are appealing but I have a particular taste in brakes so it will depend on the budget when I have everything else purchased.
I may reconsider and that is why I haven't ordered the brakes yet. I have seen a set of repro 93 5 lugs that I may get just to explore the option further.

Tire size will be the problem. To get the right diameter you are pretty limited on width. I wanted a 295, but no one makes one that I found. The nitto 555R is actually a pretty good street tire. I had them before the Kumhos I have now. I drag raced and auto crossed with them, as well as drove to work and even drove them to the RMMR, (1500mi round trip, in rain and a hail storm that left 6” of it on the highway). If you keep the 17's the 315 they make might be the ticket. They offer better widths in the 18", but you get a 1" taller tire, not really ideal on a fox.

This is the 14" brake kit that went on the 2000R. It is pretty much a dedicated open track car now. Stops really well. He has 13" on the rear.

Now that I have sold all of the parts off of my car (thank Casper!) I have officially begun the swap. I have pulled out alot of the small stuff and will drop the motor and transmission tomorrow.
I'll add some of the pics from the disassembly even though it is the less than exciting part of the swap.
Stay tuned, will have progress pics this weekend and next weekend. I will be installing everything to check fitment, disassembling and reassembling with final fabrication. (smooth fenders etc...)
