I would start with spark. Cap rotor, plug condition an gap. Wires and check timing.

I've had this problem occur with a failing aftermarket CD ignition box.

I had this problem in my 88 GT it turned out to be an ignition module in the distributer.

Check and clean mass air ...

Post by RDLINE1 »

Pull the mass air meter out and inspect the two little wires. if dirty they can cause problems. I had that same issue only at around 2500 rpm. I replaced everything from fuel pump to ign stuff.. everthing...stil had issue.. I found a small hair hanging off one wire in the mass air.. once you got to 2500 rpm it made contact with the other wire..that was my issue.. just use the correct mass air meter cleaner. hope this might help.

oh yeah sorry .. i forgot about that.. I Have had my 93 for 15 years now.. I had to make a special trip to harbor frieght to get that one, it's been a while. I think you'll find out that fix's your problem. I had replaced everything that your looking at.. including a 255lph fuel pump..and a dirty mass air was the problem.
