Car is getting closer and closer to being finished. Battery will be located in the back of the car. I find it hard to pay $225 for the Optima Red Top battery. Do you all have a better recommendation and safe for being in the open?

I want Motorcraft too, but will it matter with it in the hatch? It will be secured down of course, but not enclosed. Thoughts?

Optima gets my vote especially if you are planning on having it in the hatch.I would prefer to spend the $225 on a dry cell battery and not risk it with a standard battery.

Optima or another AGM unit if you are going to put it in the passenger compartment, box or not. As for the price, I have one in a car that I bought new 12 years ago, and three others 5,7, and 9 years old. They are the cheapest batteries out there.
Edit - I just shopped around, numerous sellers on craigslist for 99 bucks new, and most box stores and local parts places have them for less than $175.

I'll take all of your opinions and get the optima. I know it's never good to cut corners but you know how we all cross that thought when things get ridiculously expensive.
Speedfreak used to own this car before and after a DB ripped it apart. I've been piecing it together throughout my deployments and moving all over the world. Here's a few pics for you.
