1993 Cobra Registry

I have been thinking about buying a pair of the reproduction 1993 cobra wheels size 17x8.5 for the rear of my cobra. I have read on here that they will fit on the rear. I want to use the stock 245/45/17 tire or would another size look better? I am trying to do this without any rubbing. Should I have any problems doing this? Thanks for any help for those that have done this.

They fit just fine, Tom. I have a set on mine now with a ZR45 Gatorback.

Any reason you are wanting reproduction wheels, why not originals?

Any reason you are wanting reproduction wheels, why not originals?

I like the price, availability and look of the repro wheel in the back. Will use OEM in the front.

I guess it will give it the staggered look then, OEM wheels are available, but getting harder to find.

Are those reproduction wheels on the front too? Any rubbing issues?

Yes, on the front also. No rubbing at all. There is a 'GT' rotor on the front to fit properly.

I have rubbing issues with mine with the Nitto555s on them. Especially with a passenger or two in my car. I bought the chrome's and love the look, think I might get a stock set chromed and sell them...

Fronts with GT rotors no issues

Rears with Nitto555 = rubbing.
