Would you buy a salvage title teal

found a nice teal but has salvage title. Car looks nice but the title/accident history worries me. The history was when the car was just a few years old. How many here own a salvaged title car?? And being that these cars are harder to find, how much does it screw up the value of them. And yes I understand that it will never be a 20-30k car.

I compare cars like this to full restoration 60's and 70's muscle cars. Look how many cars have been literally brought back to life than nothing more than a bare shell and a VIN tag.

If your just looking for an original teal to enjoy, go for it and use the salvage title as a bargaining chip. If it was done right, other than possibly having a few ill fitting body panels or interior trim, really nothing to worry about.

Buy cheaper, own and sell cheaper.

I haven’t bought a salvage title car and don’t plan to... just do your due diligence before pulling the trigger.

One upside, you can drive it and enjoy with out reservation, of damaging original paint, miles, or even a more substantial blemish.

This is of course, as mentioned above, the car has been fixed to a high level.

I have seen many clean title cars that should have been parted out or fixed correctly that weren't.
l've owned many branded titles with minor damage but insurance didn't want to fix as it may have had replacement insurance value on it for the first 5 years when new.
