New Gatorback can still be bought from Tire Rack, I just got a set a few months back, they ran them on all GT Mustangs From 99-04! Same tire, same size. Cassette players are an easy find I have like 3 of them, but I am keeping them as I need them often!

I located the original owner outside of Nashville and he possibly still has all the original paperwork. It blows my mind that one vin tag is missing from the pass door and people think the car is not worth fixing up or could only be a DD. Its not that big of a deal to me.
I would not worry about 1 Vin tag missing, espiclly on a door, not a big deal, Plus they will make Vin tags eventually. Drive it and enjoy it.
I am going to take the wheels off and have the tires removed for repainting once I am heeled from my accident. I am going to see if my local tire shop can get them if not I will order them from a online source.

Why remake vin stickers? I thought that's part of having an original vehicle. I hope there's some way to tell the repro vin stickers from the real ones.
I can understand remaking the other various stickers and such but the vin's? That seems almost fraudulent to me
remaking them to me is a good thing, some get old and Crusty and can't be read, some Fall apart, and well some are not their anymore. It's no different than remaking vin plates for the older Shelby's and Camaro's.
Our cars are getting old and some being restored. I see nothing wrong with replacing a Vin sticker on a car during restoration. Or even all of them. I personally hate taping off vin stickers as it leaves tape lines. New Exact matching stickers would look great on a new paint job.
Again this is just my opinion. I would hope some proof of ownership is required. To keep it straigh.

X2 on that statement..... As I was in the hunt for a teal/blk/roof car hopefully right around the 100k miles mark so I wouldn't feel guilty driving it......ended up getting a really nice taken care of 150k mile teal/blk. Couple issues with it....but the best thing is no rust, and well taken car of interior and paint. Enjoy that car, as I know you will.[/quote]
