1993 Cobra Registry

I purchased a high mileage Teal on Black with a blown engine due to the tuner leaning out the engine with the blower. I’m am looking for a complete fully stock 1993 Cobra motor to the air filter and matching transmission. Transmission won’t be a deal breaker because I have this one, however, it needs to be rebuilt.

Melt a piston? Block no good? Or just don't want to mess with a rebuild?

Has complete forged DSS pistons and internals. Apparently blew through the block. Seller will have it here first week of August.

Anyone traveling from Detroit area to Colorado Springs or Denver any time soon? I’m going to look up freight charges but always nice to find someone already making the trip this way. I’m going to get this engine, ECU, and transmission.

Might check on like u-ship for shipping on the motor, LTL freight charges might be a little expensive. If you do LTL shipping, business to business locations are cheaper to ship to and from.

Ok, I’ll give that a shot. I have a business right by me, I have to see what they charge. Unless the driver has a way to lower the engine and tranny down to the ground, that would be great.

Any update, I know I will be in the Detroit area in a couple weeks for a show. Might be able to help out anyway I can.

The guy is very slow in responses, he has zero affiliation with svtperformance, we haven’t worked out a payment plan, I don’t know his schedule for a transporter picking up the engine other than he works every day. He doesn’t know how to crate the engine even after I explained it to him, nor do I think he wants to.
It’s been very difficult so far and he asked me to be patient.

What sort of help can you offer? Pick up and drop off?

If he can't figure it out in a few weeks, I could possibly pick it up and try to help with the shipping of it.

Ok, that would work too. It sucks when you find something you need, and then the seller is terrible at everything else in order to make the sale. I will keep you posted. During this time, I have UShip going and so far down to $450.
Pick up date and possible crating is all unknown at this point.
