Vin# 1FACP42D8PF141993 Kinda weird the last 4 of the Vin #
Build# 2318
Born 4/23

I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN 1996. I'M BELIEVED TO BE THE THIRD OWNER. IT HAS NOT BEEN SMOKED IN SINCE I'VE OWNED IT. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGE KEPT SINCE I'VE HAD IT. IT WAS RE-CLEAR COATED SOMETIME BEFORE I OWNED IT. I CANT FIND ANY TRACE OF COLLISION DAMAGE. I'M SUSPECTING IT MAY HAVE BEEN KEYED, AND THAT'S WHY IT WAS RE-CLEARED. THE PAINT IS IN GREAT SHAPE. HOWEVER THE SIDE MOULDING IS MOLDY FROM SITTING IN STORAGE. IT SHOULD CLEAN UP EASILY. THERE ARE A FEW SMALL DENTS AND SCRATCHES. ONE IS ON THE ROOF FROM WHERE A GARAGE DOOR SPRING BROKE AND HIT IT. THE OTHER IS ON THE DRIVERS DOOR. THESE ARE THE ONLY PLACES ON THE CAR BODY-WISE THAT ARE DAMAGED. THERE IS A 2.5" COWL HOOD ON THE CAR NOW BUT I HAVE THE ORIGINAL HOOD TOO. I CONVERTED THE CAR TO FIVE LUG BOLT PATTERN. IT HAS A UPR K-MEMBER AND CONTROL ARMS WITH ADJUSTABLE COIL-OVERS, MANUAL STEERING RACK AND FLAMING RIVER STEERING SHAFT. IT ALSO HAS THE ADJUSTABLE CASTER/CAMBER KIT. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL K-MEMBER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS. THE REAREND HAS THE STOCK 8.8 WITH 3:73 GEARS AND MOSER 28 SPLINED AXLES. THE LOCKER IN THE REAREND WAS MACHINED FOR AN EXTRA CLUTCH DISC. IT HAS SOUTHSIDE LIFT BARS LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND DOUBLE ADJUSTABLE UPPER CONTROL ARMS. I HAVE A RE-INFORCEMENT PLATE KIT FOR THE CONTROL ARM BOXES NEW IN THE BOX THAT COMES WITH THE CAR. THE STOCK DISC BRAKES ARE ALL AROUND. I ALSO HAVE A MANUAL MASTER CYLINDER NEW IN THE BOX THAT COMES WITH THE CAR. I BOUGHT THE CAR AND DID THE USUAL BOLT-ONS FOR A WHILE, THEN STRIPPED IT DOWN TO BUILD A DRAG CAR OUT OF. I STILL HAVE THE WIRING HARNESS AND COMPUTER FOR THE ENGINE. ALL THE OTHER WIRING WAS LEFT INTACT BECAUSE I WANTED WORKING LIGHTS AND WINDOWS TO BE STREET LEGAL. NO WIRING WAS CUT AT ALL, SIMPLY UNPLUGGED. I ALSO PULLED THE DASH AND REMOVED THE HEAT AND A/C BUT LIKE THE WIRING I STILL HAVE ALL OF IT. WHAT I DON'T HAVE ANYMORE IS THE ORIGINAL ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, AND WHEELS. THOSE WERE SOLD OFF. THE TAGS AND INSPECTION WERE STILL GOOD WHEN I STARTED THIS PROJECT AND IT'S BEEN IN STORAGE EVER SINCE. THIS CAR WAS MY BABY FOR A LONG TIME AND I TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF IT. KIDS AND LIFE SIDELINED IT. I'LL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS OR PROVIDE MORE PICTURES AS NEEDED. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKUP/DELIVERY. THANK YOU.

While I have no problem with people modding a 93 Cobra with some things like a supercharger, subframe connectors, exhaust, etc...

it really KILLS ME to see someone turn one of these into a drag car

Yea, with John on that. Someone with a really nice driver could use those seats. Look to be ok.

Part it out? No! Looks to be pretty nice under the drag stuff, nothing cut up too bad. Seller says that he has all the wiring, A/C, and other stock parts except engine and trans (not a big deal) so with it in this shape, it could go in about any direction and be a nice little hot rod. Sell off the drag stuff and it would be a fun project. With no shaved door handles.

I already asked if he'd sell the seats but haven't heard back yet.

Hmmm, wouldn't mind having this one. Good that he didn't put a roll bar in it anyhow.
