Welcome to the site, the molding might have the red striping that was usual in the early fox's. Like a vinyl strip the the seam of the trim.

Thanks for the welcome...my teal has 120k on it..let me tell you for a 20 yr old car it drives so tight with no rattles...are your cobras the same as for my blk covert it's a 88 lx 5.0 with upper and lower cobra intake with cobra rims w/red stripe painted...I'm looking for a red one now the wife wants one..lol

My cars don't have the trim section painted, clear like from the factory at least on the cobras, some older GT's and LX's came factory with the red but was vinyl stick ins.

Some of the GTs also came with blue vinyl inserts depending on the color combo.

Nice looking car! I like the white-face gauges! I bought mine and it came with the same white gauges and they remind me of my old 97 Cobra....
