Got home today to find the parts from vintage air showed up. Hopefully will get some good progress done this weekend :)

My special brackets for the big brakes in the back are shipping in a week and a half as well. Hopefully will have lots to post soon

Well, little progress unfortunately. I have been extremely busy at work. I have got a little done on the engine and transmission but it is far from going into the car.

Here is the car missing some parts :)

I have purchased brackets from S&R to run a stock power steering pump and stock a/c compressor. It relocates the alternator to the front of the motor turned around backwards. Unfortunately it is not going to work with the supercharger.

After some research, I found the vintage air kit for a/c, aftermarket power steering pump and stock alternator location. I had to modify the upper bracket for the supercharger and a few other things. I am hoping the belt tensioner that came with the kit will be adequate. Guess we will see. The alternator tensioner is the wrong one from ford. How that happens is anyones guess. I still have to get a new belt for the custom configuration.

At this point I confirmed what I already thought. I had to purchase a new front timing cover to use the Vintage Air kit. Unfortunately the engine I bought from Ford is made for the supercharger kit and the modifications they made had to be undone. So off to Ford to order a new timing cover. Tommy Vaughn Ford got one for me next day!

These bosses are what they cut off and I needed. They will be the mounting point for the vintage air kit.

This tab had to be cut off of the timing cover as well to accommodate the new brackets

Bracket going on, very nice billet piece

Since I had to take the timing cover off, I decided to install a new ATI balancer.

Here are some random shots of the engine with the covers off.

All buttoned up with some minor modifications still to go but getting there

Got the transmission mounted finally. The hydraulic throw out bearing from McLeod took a modification the to transmission. Of course this should have been done by the place I bought it or at least communicated. So much for making it a bolt in :) I figured it out and have .100 th of an inch air gap as required in the install instructions.
