Taking exhaust off without cutting. Flowmaster question too

Post by sn8k1 »

I may do a catback. I dont want to cut the stock exhaust to get it off. I want the car to go back stock if I ever feel the need.

Also, Will the flowmaster American Thunder system(stainless tips) for the 87-93 LX fit the 93 Cobra. I have heard different stories.

Thanks!

You can run the 2 chambers with no problems. I did for years. Only one modification is necessary. The LX tail pipes have shoter hangers then the 93 Cobra spec parts did. You can replace the rubber hanger with a longer rubber peice and all will be fine. I'm sure your local parts store will help you out. Just make sure your tail pipes aren't making contact with the exhaust cut outs on the rear valance and all will be good.

You know about the drone that cat back gives you, right?

It's around 2000 or a little less, if I remember correctly. Annoying at best.
