Yes, DB it's really happening. Apparently, blownSBF thought I was serious in my comment about the value of an '89 Cobra R. :pat:

Now, about that super rare mystic '92 Cobra R prototype convertible ...   ;) ;) ;)
(BTW, SBF my last comment here was JUST A JOKE. :D)

Wow! That super rare one-of-a-kind model must be worth a fortune!!
This right here is why I can't stand talking to people that think they know something about mustangs and end up not knowing sh$$ about them and I will be quick to point out how little they actually know! I can't stand igornant people :twak:
93svt#2779 wrote:Easy SBF... your going to blow a valve cover gasket!
Ignorant people don't read all the posts in a thread, SBF. Which is something I recommend before going off on a rant next time.

NV93 posted about the clueless person that thought there was an '89R. I continued making fun of that when adding to the comment by 93svt#2779. Next time, stop all the :smokin: and the :alcoholic: and you'll probably notice the  after my comment.
Easy Dick my bad yes I definitely quoted the wrong quote I guess working out in the 100+ degree heat then getting on here during a break didn't work out so good. :pat: But yes I did read all the post and did know that everyone was making fun. I for sure do not think ANYONE on here believes there is a 89 Cobra R! But reading my post now it sure looks like I thought you both did and for sure didn't mean to call anyone here ignorant. Hopefully the Cobra gods will forgive me :hail:

Ah, the old "100 degree heat" excuse. That's why I use  or ;) or both when I'm joking. It's hard to tell sometimes.

Guy sitting in the bar says to the Barkeep- " You know, all Lawyers are Dicks!"
Guy at other end of bar says- " Hey, that offends me!"
1st guy- " Why, are you a Lawyer? "
2nd guy- " No, I'm a Dick!!"

Damn I can't believe I wrote that earlier about ignorant people and I quote the wrong quote and look like a dumba$$ my self and now i'm part of the ignorant people :?

I real irony of the this thread is the fact that I never see any 93 Cobras around here I take my Cobra out for a drive and at the gas station a guy walks up and we start talking about my car. Then he proceeds to tell me less than 2 miles from my house is a guy that has a black 93 Cobra he bought new in Dallas drove it home and it is setting in his garage with less than 200 miles on it. He claims the window sticker and plastic are still on the seats the last time he seen it a couple years ago. I am going to see if I can contact the owner and maybe he will let me snap a pic of it?

The Count's Customs trick works better when you have a camera crew following you. And it's staged.

These cars were a rare sight on the road when they were new, to say nothing of now. I can't remember the last time I saw one driving along, it's been years. I was asked if mine was a real Cobra... when it was one year old. The look I gave the guy must have made him feel dumb, because he took off before I could say anything. Nobody asks that now, the last Saturday night burger joint show I brought it to, two early 20's guys were checking it out. One said to the other, "Hey, this is a real Cobra, you know how to tell?" (I thought he knew about the D in the VIN or something) "Look at the taillights - STRIPES!" Hey, it was a cool moment, the car was parked next to a super-flashy new GT500, and they were checking out the tame-by-comparison '93 Cobra.

That's right.

Has been many years since I saw another '93 Cobra on the road here in the Phoenix, AZ area. Use to see another teal one once in a great while. Mine is my daily driver and has been from when I bought it new; just rolled 179,000 miles. It's getting to be too undependable for driving to work daily and so may end up selling it before long.
